| Kansas Migrant Family Education Program | Kansas Migrant Education Program is a program designed to break the cycle of poverty and improve the literacy of migrant families through a unified program of family literacy services. These services are defined in law as early childhood education, adult basic education or English Language instruction, and parenting education. Projects provide a number of services and strategies to help parents and children meet their educational goals and to support parents in their role as their child’s first teacher. | Early Head Start | Early Head Start provides in-home, comprehensive, support services to pregnant women and families with children up to age 4. Early Head Start supports parents in fulfilling their roles and helps them move toward economic independence. Families must meet income eligibility guidelines.
